This year’s Summer Institute performances took place on July 25-27. Check out videos from rehearsals to see what the students did.
The Summer Institute is a free, three-week performance intensive workshop for New York City high school students. This year, the students have been working with a collection of “15-second plays” curated by the Debate Society, writing their own 15-second plays, and studying the evolution of early African and African-American musical traditions.
